These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tell Me Again — the website and app at tellmeagain.app (the “Service”), operated by Tell Me Again (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Please read the “Text Messaging (SMS)” section carefully — it describes how our text-message program works, including how to opt out.
Who May Use the Service
The Service is intended for adults (18 or older). You may record and share stories about children and other family members you are responsible for, but the Service is not for use by children creating their own accounts.
By using the Service you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to invite the people whose contact details you enter.
Your Account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Sign-in and authentication are handled by our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the stories, recordings, transcripts, photos, and other content you add. Your family's memories belong to your family.
You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you and the family members you choose to share it with — for example, hosting your media, transcribing recordings, and rendering stories.
You are responsible for the content you add. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, or that you do not have permission to share.
Text Messaging (SMS)
Effective Date: July 30, 2026
If you opt in to receive SMS activity alerts from Tell Me Again, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Messaging Provider: Text messages are delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio.
Subscription and Consent: You may receive activity-alert text messages from Tell Me Again only if you are a signed-in account holder and you separately opt in on the in-app SMS consent screen by checking an unchecked-by-default consent box and submitting your own mobile phone number. Providing a phone number does not, by itself, constitute consent. Only you may grant consent for your own number — no family member or other person may opt you in. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Message Content: You will receive activity alerts from your family — when someone shares a story, answers your question, asks you something, tags you in a photo, or comments on your story. No marketing or promotional messages.
Message Frequency: Event-driven; frequency varies.
Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details.
Opt-Out Instructions: To opt out of receiving messages at any time, reply with "STOP" to any message you receive from us. Upon opting out, you will receive no further messages.
Help Instructions: For assistance, reply with "HELP" or contact us at support@tellmeagain.app.
Privacy Policy: Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy at tellmeagain.app/privacy. Please review it for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Non-Sharing: We do not share or sell your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with service providers that help us deliver messages (such as Twilio) and only as needed to provide the Service.
Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. We do not send Terms & Conditions notices by text message.

Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to harass, harm, or impersonate others.
- Invite people to be contacted without their permission, or send messages you are not authorised to send.
- Attempt to access content you are not authorised to see, or interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
AI-Assisted Features
The Service uses automated tools to transcribe recordings and to clean up or render your words into readable stories. These tools work on your behalf to present what you said; the original recording and transcript remain the source of truth. AI-assisted steps are labelled where they appear.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers — including hosting, database, storage, authentication, transcription, language-model, and messaging providers — to operate. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will never be lost. You are encouraged to keep your own copies of anything important to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. You can request deletion of your account and personal content as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
